Punjabi Dhaba Chicken Curry

Punjab is a famous city for food in India and Dhaba refers to restaurants located on highways which generally serve local cuisine. Punjab Dhaba style chicken curry has the least complex of fixings, perfect for cooking at home or to impress your friends at social gatherings. Make this special dish with Chef Manav and learn the special ingredients that he uses to set this recipe apart from others including his CHAAT-exclusive Garam Masala Powder blend which is mixed with 12 different types of spices. This chicken curry can be cleaned up with hot roasted Naan or served with rice.

Ingredient List


  • Chicken (whole) 1 kg
  • Ginger paste 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 2 tsp
  • Garam Masala powder 1/2 tsp

Curry Ingredients:

  • Mustard oil 4 tbsp
  • Cloves 3pcs
  • Bay leaf 5pcs
  • Cinnamon stick 1 inch
  • Green cardamom 5pcs
  • Green chillies 3pcs
  • Onion (chopped) 2 cups
  • Ginger (chopped) 1 tsp
  • Garlic (chopped) 1 tsp
  • Tomato (chopped with seeds) 1 cup
  • Curd (whisked with 2 tsp Maida) 1 cup
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Roasted cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Kasuri Methi 2 tbsp
  • CHAAT Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Fresh coriander (chopped) 2 tbsp

Interactive Sessions

Some of the Masterclasses will have interactive live broadcast rooms, where participants can have the opportunity to be featured on our live channel and also to interact in real-time with our wine experts and famous chefs. When ordering a designated wine tasting or ingredients kit via the Klook website, you can choose whether you wish to join the live broadcast room. Quotas are limited on a first-come, first-served basis.
